This is me
I am a California native who has a passion for art.
...and by art I mean people, performance, literature, music, dance, bodies, movement, poetry, nature, weather, texture, fabric, colour, and human life in all its facets.
I have been a theatre artists, mostly in costume departments across North America, for over 20 years in a professional capacity.
I have lived and worked in Greater Vancouver for 12 years as a permanent resident. I have had the great opportunity to spend the majority of my time with The Arts Club Theatre Company during an exciting and challenging transition from Granville Island as a base of operations to the brand-new facility at the BMO Theatre Centre in the Olympic Village. I have been a critical member of creating and executing just shy of 100 shows for them, following some of them from concept, to creation in shop, to transitioning onto one of three stages, and finally dressing and support entire performance runs to completion.
I have also have had the opportunity to support the Vancouver Opera, Bard on the Beach, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, The Kay Meek Centre, First Impressions Theatre, and Capilano University.
Looking forward to the next adventure... whatever it may be.

Skills
Member of IATSE 118. Valid BC driving license and personal vehicle: 2000 Honda CRV. I have handled company credit cards, petty cash and PayPal accounts for costume departments and monitored designer spending. I have experience in rental, return, and rehab of six varied costume stocks. I have supervised skilled and unskilled costume crews of as large as twenty ranging from IATSE professionals, university students, performance interns, or volunteers that would be instructed in all manner of tasks during show construction, wardrobe running crew, shop rehab, or strike. I have a working level of knowledge in draping, cutting, dyeing, wig maintenance, distressing, and the constant struggle to keep it all clean in a timely, affordable manner. I embrace the high-pressure situations of performance and quick-change challenges, as well as revel in the rare opportunities that spark tinkering of specialty costume from things full of beauty to the beautifully grotesque, or working with special effects such as blood and dismemberment.
